COVID-19 Update

We are open, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to The Tranquilo Lodge! Our open-air spaces, private experiences, and lush tropical landscapes are waiting to embrace you into a secluded getaway with ocean breezes and a tranquil atmosphere to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit.

As you plan your getaway, we remain committed in sharing up-to-date travel information, so you can stay informed. Borders are open to all countries; however, it is important to note that tourists entering Costa Rica via a flight must complete the online “Health Pass” epidemiological form and obtain travel insurance that covers COVID-19 medical expenses. A PCR test is no longer a requirement to enter the country.

Effective January 26, 2021, air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country are required to get tested no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to their airline before boarding their flight. This applies to all air passengers, 2 years of age or older, traveling into the US, including US citizens and legal permanent residents. Learn more here.

Antigen test are available at San Jose Airport or Liberia Airport with results in less than 4 hours. Cost is $50 per test.

The Tranquilo Lodge is perched high on the hill-top above the Pirate Cove Beach and offers a secluded retreat with only 12 villas and suites to choose from.

The Tranquilo Lodge is a nature lover’s adults-only paradise, tucked away off the beaten path in a remote part of the Costa Rican jungle near Corcovado and Cano Island.

We want to assure you that our number one priority has always been and continues to be the health and safety of our guests and team. And, because of this, all The Tranquilo Lodge property is adopting new, updated standards to ensure your safety and comfort during your future stay.

As of June 20th, 2021 all our crew received dose 1 of Astra Zeneca and will receive the second one soon.
