AC

Our AC are here for cool and dry air. We recommend you to keep them at a balance temperature compare to the outdoors to avoid thermal chock.

 

ALARM

Use your tablet to wake up in the morning. Alarm app loaded on your desktop

ALCOHOL

Outside alcohol not permitted on our properties. All empty bottle not belonging to the hotel and found in your room will be charged with corkage fee of $100 per unit.

BEACH SERVICE

We have a beach area set up for our hotel guest upon reservation and request.

CLOTH DRYING

A drying wire is installed in each villa for your convenience. It is not allowed to use the railing outside to dry your cloth.

If your clothes are damped, ask a crew member to give them a dry.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

You can communicate with our crew with this tablet. Each room has its own email address and it is allowing us to ping, video and email each other. Of course, we are also ere to answer physically any questions you may have.

 

DRINKABLE WATER

 

In 2019, we have built a brand-new system of well and water filtration and water treatment. We are proud to be the only hotel in Drake with drinkable water with the same level of quality of bottled water. By doing so, we are saving close to 25000 bottles per year and are protecting our world for  better future.

 

DRUG FREE

The Tranquilo will not tolerate any non-medicinal drug o the property. As a reminder, marijuana is not medicinal in Costa Rica.

 

EXTERNAL GUESTS

DAY USE 9 am to 8 pm: we will gladly let you have up to 2 guests in the resort for $120 each per day. This fee included the use of the pool, towels, beach, all food and beverages

NIGHT USE: No external guest accepted at night.

 

FITNESS CENTER

Open daily from 7.00 AM to 7.00 PM

Cold Water, Ice Tea and Towels available

Located on the lower part of the hotel

 

IRONING

To prevent any fire, we don’t have irons in the room, but we will gladly iron for you.

2 pieces per day (extra piece $3/piece)

 

HOUSEKEEPING

Make sure your door sign shows “clean my room”

If the sign shows “do not disturb” housekeeping will not enter the room

Rooms re cleaned twice daily. Morning and Night

 

LAUNDRY

We gladly wash your cloths who can fit in the provided laundry bag in your room. Leave it in front of your door in the morning, it will be wash, floded by hand and returned to your room

Free service for guests staying 3 nights and more

Paid service for guests staying 2 days and less ($10/bag)

Laundry bag will be charged $10 if missing.

 

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

We have one private doctor in Drake. She will be happy to come to the hotel in case of medical emergency. A cost of $120 will be asked.

We can also provide emergency plane evacuation with doctors on board.

 

MUSIC/NOISE

No amplified music from any device allowed in our resort

No noise between the hours of 10.00 PM and 7.00 AM

 

PALAPA/RESTAURANT AND BAR

Breakfast served from 7.30 AM to 9.30 AM.

If your tour starts earlier than 6 AM, we will ask you the night before your choice and will prepare it for you and will serve it at 5.15 AM

Lunch served from 12.00 PM to 2.30 PM “A la Carte Lunch”

Snacks served from 2.30 PM to 5.00 PM “A la carte Snacks”

Dinner served from 6.00 PM to 8.00 PM “4 course dinner – Chef’s Choice – Substitution available”

Bar closes at 9.00 PM

 

POOL

The lower and upper pool are open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Outside of those hours, we are performing maintenance and cleaning to ensure your enjoyment.

Pool towels are available through the property, on lounge seats, or at the Palapa

 

REFRIGERATOR/ SNACKS/ COFFEE

All beverages, snacks and coffee are courtesy of the hotel. They will be refilled every day. Our inventory depends on what we have been delivered and can change without notice

 

ROOM AMENITIES

Umbrellas are provided for your use in the hotel or while in Drake Bay. Shall your umbrella be missing, or if you would like to purchase one as a souvenir, they are available in our small store for $45

Mugs and Esppresso Cups are provided for your use in your villa. Shall they be missing or if you would like to purchase one as a souvenir, they are available in our small store for $$9/Mugs and $7/Espresso cup

Robes are provided for your use in your villa or in the resort. Shall they be missing or if you would like to purchase one as a souvenir, they are available in our small store for $65

Towels are provided for your use in your villa. Shall they be missing or if you would like to purchase one as a souvenir, they are available in our small store for $20/Large, $15/medium or $8/small

Bedding are provided for your use in your villa. Shall they be missing or if you would like to purchase one as a souvenir, they are available in our small store for $85 sheets set and $90 comforter cover

Tablets are provided for your use in your villa. Shall they be missing or if you would like to purchase one as a souvenir, they are available in our small store for $350

Air dryer are provided for your use in your villa. Shall they be missing or if you would like to purchase one as a souvenir, they are available in our small store for $35

 

Slippers, soaps, aluminum drinkable bottles are for you to take at the end of your stay.

 

ROOM KEYS

A key box is provided outside on your patio/balcony. Code will be given at check in. Leave your key inside when you leave the hotel.

 

SAFEBOX

Follow the instructions left with your safe box. If you need help, ask any crew member.

 

SMOKING

As per Costa Rican laws, smoking is not permitted on the property ground.

You will find a small smoking area, by the main entrance of the hotel

 

TOURS
The Tranquilo provides the highest level of tours Drake Bay has to offer. Each captain and guides have been selected for their level of expertise. Each tours have certified guide and complete insurance.

One of our crew members will escort you to the point of departure.

We decline responsibilities for all tours booked outside of our hotel and we will not provide escort to those. You will need to reserve your own transportation

WILD ANIMALS

The Tranquilo Lodge is located in a very remote area and is being part of the Jungle. Even though, we go daily through a very hard cleaning of our property, we still are sharing our land with wild animals such as Tapir, Birds, Spiders, Scorpio, and Snake.

 

Walk the ground at night with the provided or your own flashlight. We are not able to light more the property or we would continuously attract mosquitos.
